This was the first time I got to photograph The GiMino family and they were precious. It was also their first photos as a family of three – what an honor! Capturing their TN family session on a beautiful day in my favorite fields of green was a photographer’s dream come true.

During the warm weather months I know photo sessions with little ones can be tricky because of the late sunset. That’s why I’m always happy to accommodate families to make their photo sessions more comfortable. This TN family session is the perfect example that a mid-morning session can be just as pretty as a sunset one!

I love, love, love unique and beautiful baby names and Colette’s name just made my heart flutter. Her giggle and little thigh rolls were one of my favorite things about getting to work alongside the GiMino family. I mean really, is there anything sweeter than baby thigh rolls?

Colette was 8 months old during their family session and it’s probably one of the most ideal seasons for littles to get photographed. Why? Because at 8 months little ones can sit up on their own, but they aren’t fully mobile yet and want to be on-the-go all the time. It’s also a prime time for sweet cuddles, big smiles, and when personalities start to show.
