Nashville Lifestyle Newborn Session | The Puryear Family

Newborn Photography

The light fell softly through the window onto his gray rocker nestled in the corner. It wrapped around her like a halo. She curated this room especially for him, for her firstborn son cradled in her arms. It has only been a month but the time spent feeding, changing, nurturing and loving him is enough to fill her heart to the brim.
Lincoln Lee was born right outside Nashville, TN during the covid crisis. And like so many other families, the Puryears were not able to have newborn photos taken at the hospital. But Peyton, Lincoln’s Mama, knew how important it was to capture her baby boy while he was still in the newborn stage.

It started with a facetime consultation where we talked about the best lighting and special spots in their Murfreesboro home. I pulled out dresses from my client wardrobe and she picked her favorite ones along with bonnets and swaddles for Lincoln.

When I arrived, I was greeted by the Puryears other child. A fur pup named Eloise. She stole my heart with her wagging tail and glistening eyes and was sure to follow us around as we moved throughout the house taking photos.

It was lovely to be welcomed into a home where the joy is almost palpable. Little ones bring a flood of emotions but I think my favorite one is hope. Hopeful expectation is on the horizon for the Puryear family as they greet each day as an opportunity to grow closer to their little boy.

Peyton,

Thank you for trusting me with these photos and the vision for our day. I loved getting to meet you all and pray abundant blessings on your family!
