I am thrilled to share my recent Nashville Family Session featuring the DeLong Family! Dolly is a friend, a fellow photographer, and a business systems educator who loves helping other small business owners streamline and automate their businesses! You can check out more about Dolly and her business here! Dolly is one of those people that you can’t help but smile around. Needless to say, I was honored when she reached out to me about taking her annual family photos with her husband, Ty, and precious son, Blaise.
I loved capturing this sweet family while watching them play and laugh together. Blaise’s smile stretched across his face as mom and dad took turns tossing him up in the air and swinging him as they walked together. After letting off a bunch of energy, the family laid in the grass as Blaise pointed up at the sky. These sweet, yet simple moments are my favorite.
This family session perfectly captures the essence of life with young kids. Kids are active and typically bursting with energy, which I love! There is nothing better than listening to their giggles and bouts of laughter as they play and run around. Then in the next moment they are cuddled up next to you while you try hard to take in every second, because you know it is short lived.
I know family sessions with young kids can feel stressful at times. However, one thing I’d love to remind all parents with kids under five is that it is perfectly fine if your family session revolves around play! Go into the session with an open mind. Plan for and be okay with taking breaks. If your kids don’t feel like sitting still the day of your family session, then run with it … or with them I should say! More than anything, have fun! Little ones are only little for a short amount of time, which is why I want all my parents to feel relaxed going into a session so that they can just enjoy their kids.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to capture this beautiful family and provide them with memories from this sweet stage of life! Enjoy a few of my favorite moments from the DeLong Family’s Nashville Family Session.
Snacks/treats are always welcome and highly recommended. Raisins or gummies are great snack options because they don’t melt or crumble.
