This sweet family just welcomed their baby boy, Henry! When they reached out about capturing at home newborn portraits for their son, I was just thrilled. I absolutely love lifestyle newborn portraits, and when the family is as wonderful as these three are, it’s even better. They told me that they had just moved into the home and finished up his nursery only a few days before he was born. You’d honestly never know – everything looked amazing!
Henry was the best baby for us! He didn’t fuss at all during his session and was content to be fed and snuggled with. And you could tell his parents were just over the moon with him, too. His dad absolutely loved holding him and feeding him. And his sweet mama was just amazing, rocking him and making sure he had everything he needed. He also has two big fur siblings who wanted to be part of the photos too. That’s easily another reason I love lifestyle newborn portraits – everyone can be included, especially your dogs! And Henry’s big siblings just loved being part of the session.
I’m so happy I was able to capture these newborn portraits at home. Having a new baby is a busy time and I know it’s not on the front of everyone’s mind to book portraits. But, these days are so fleeting. Time moves quickly and we never get it back. I hope that you take the time to document what it felt like to bring your baby home and how tiny they were in your arms.
