The McKay Family loves to travel and visit National Parks! When they reached out to schedule a family session, I knew the shoot had to be somewhere outside with an organic, natural feel. We settled on Stones River Battlefield for the McKay’s Family Portraits in Murfreesboro TN. It was the perfect fit for this family!
Stones River Battlefield was an idyllic setting, with lush greenery all around, fields of wide open space, tall grass, and towering trees in the background. It is safe to say that we all had a blast during our time together! I enjoyed watching the handsome little boys run around wild and carefree in the grass.
Their little giggles were infectious! I loved big brother’s outfit with his suspenders and shirt that matched dad. He is also a super sweet older brother. You could tell he was looking out for his little brother as he ran alongside him. A few times he swooped down to give him a quick hug and keep him from wandering too far. Little brother is equally adorable and sweet. He was definitely curious about everything and loved exploring outside. Playing with the boys reminded me of my own boys so much.
In between shots of the boys playing and frolicking in the grass we captured some amazing family photos with mom and dad. Mom’s dress was perfect for this outdoor Family Session. It coordinated with the boys’ outfits and the light printed flowers complemented the green fields.
I loved watching mom and dad interact with their boys. They all radiated with joy! I photographed a few sweet moments of mom with each of her boys separately and together. And then, of course, dad with his two little mini-me’s! I love the tender moment of mom laying in the grass with her oldest.
Towards the end of the session, I grabbed a few pictures of just mom and dad, which I am in love with! The McKay Family is a wonderful, beautiful family. I truly enjoyed our time together at Stones River Battlefield in Murfreesboro TN.
