This Nashville family maternity session had an extra piece of my heart because I’ve actually been getting to photograph The McKitricks for three years now.
There is no greater compliment to my artistry than having repeat clients. I love getting to watch my clients families grow. As you may know I have five children growing families are, of course, close to my heart, as well.
Getting to celebrate the final days with families as it is now before baby arrives is unexplainable. This excitement is undefined. There are all these expectations whether from parents or older siblings of what life may be like once baby is here. (And, if you’re wondering one question that I’m often asked is if your family can be a part of your maternity sessions, and the answer is always a resounding “yes!”)
Let me tell you a little secret, you can never prepare for the amount of love that you will have for your newborn. And, no matter how many children you have, your love just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
I’m always in awe of the God-like love we get to experience as parents. I never fully comprehended it but feel like I better understand God’s love for his children by being a parent myself. Parenthood isn’t always pretty and easy, but gosh is it worth it and full of undeserving grace as a great reward.
