This winter maternity session might be one of my all-time favorites. Isn’t this mama just so beautiful? When we got hit with the massive snow storm this winter, she and her brave husband wandered out to meet with me for their winter Ellington Agricultural Center maternity portraits. As a Nashville maternity photographer, this beautiful little spot is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to take families. I just love the variety it provides. And covered in snow, it’s even more beautiful.
One of the best parts of this session was knowing that I would be photographing their baby just a few months after these portraits were taken. Because they’re a Membership family, I’m capturing both her pregnancy and newborn portraits. It’s SUCH an honor to be able to document both stages of life for families like this. As a mama myself, I know how fast those early days go. The tiny feet, the new baby smell, the little fingers gripping yours. That’s one of the reasons I strongly believe in having this membership option for my mamas. I never want them to miss a chance to photograph this new life they’ve created.
And while I know not every mama dreams of a maternity session, I think they’re equally important. The journey of pregnancy isn’t always easy – but it’s one worth remembering. I want your maternity portraits to feel relaxed and easy – just a chance to celebrate such a special moment. If nothing else, it’s a time to reflect on where your journey has taken you. Thank you to this beautiful family for coming out in the chilly weather with me and allowing me to document your pregnancy.
