Outdoor Newborn + Family Session in Brentwood, TN
This stunning family met me at a lovely park for their Brentwood Outdoor Newborn + Family Session. The entire session was filled with sweet little giggles from Katie and Matt’s older two boys as they ran freely through the grass. There were also a few of those unmistakable newborn grunts and coos from this couples’ precious newborn son, Elliot.
Photographing this beautiful family was such a joy, and also a huge tug on my mama heart! As a fellow boy mom myself, watching the two older brothers love on their new brother brought back such wonderful memories from those early days with my boys. I know without a doubt that these big brothers will always look after their younger brother and be the best of friends.
Brentwood Family Session
With a new baby in tow, sometimes photo sessions can be stressful on the parents. I always want to help relieve any stress leading up to or during a session. To help this new family of five, I assisted with styling the family! The older boys wore complementary sweaters. One brother wore a neutral cream color, and the other added a pop of a deep, teal tone. Mom wore a lovely, feminine dress from my Client Closet that looked amazing on her! Towards the end of the session, Katie wore Elliot in baby wrap. He was the perfect outfit accessory! I love that Katie chose to wear him for their session and capture their family as they are in this stage of life.
The Preston Family’s Brentwood outdoor newborn + family session was absolutely perfect! Outdoor sessions are my favorite due to the freedom it allows children to just be kids! Weather permitting, I always suggest heading outside for sessions, especially if that’s normal and natural for your family! These sessions can help alleviate some of the pressure on kids as they can move more and have the freedom to roam and play. I LOVE capturing kids playing in their element. Those candid pictures of kids playing in the dirt, picking flowers, or running around their parents as they hug are always among my favorites from sessions.
