Murfreesboro Black and White Studio Session | Scarlett

May we raise children

who love the unloved

things- the dandelion, the

worms & spiderlings.

Children who sense

the rose needs the thorn

 

& run into rainswept days

the same way they

turn towards the sun…

 

And when they’re grown &

someone has to speak for those

who have no voice

 

may they draw upon that

wilder bond, those days of

tending tender things

 

and be the ones.

There is a gentleness I have seen in Scarlett since she was a baby. A sweetness that bubbles up from within. When I read this poem I thought, that, that is her. Her tenderness is passed down from her mother. Who loves without reserve.

It was an honor to capture that sweetness in this black and white milestone session.

My prayer is that you grow bold and courageous in your faith. Always loving, always trusting, and always knowing how deeply loved you are.
