He grabbed the spade that was larger than his own hand. Lifting it up above his head and sending it crashing down into the bag of potting soil. Airplanes. This time it was an airplane. It easily could have been dinosaurs, racecars, motorcycles, or a number of other imaginary things we play with these days.
My favorite photo lab Photovision Prints held a contest and encouraged photographers everywhere to experiment with film. I’ve wanted to push myself into working more with manual focus. This would mean slowing down even more and taking a more photojournalistic approach. I seized the opportunity, and encouragement, from Photovision and went to town.
Little did I know that these would be some of my favorite photos of our family. Everything was teeming with new life. From the promises of spring and the baby kittens to the start of our herb garden and the new baby in tow. I see beautiful things on the horizon and these photos are just the ticket to remember them by.
