Jenni greeted me at the door. Glowing cheeks and fresh curls in her hair.
She had carefully laid out a pink tulle dress for Gracie, her daughter. Gently combed her son Aden’s hair. Taking care of all the little details, as she usually does, and making sure everything was just right.
I watched her as she cared for them. She spoke softly and tenderly. A verse from Proverbs came to mind. Proverbs 31, no doubt. “Honor her for all her hands have done…”
The hands that tie the shoes, the hands that play itsy bitsy spider, the hands that wipe the tears away. And the hands that will soon hold a new baby. She deserves honor and that is what I hope to remember with these photographs.
