I had the privilege of attending the Fount Collective Workshop in Serene, GA this winter. Even more so, I had the privilege of meeting this exquisite mother.
Rylee Hitchner is a destination photographer based in the South who believes in telling intimate, genuine stories through her artwork.
She radiants joy. There is something about her smile and countenance that brings light to everyone around her. Not only did I get the chance to photograph her as she got ready to welcome her third baby, I also got to listen to her teach for two days at the conference.
As I write this I’m flipping back through my notes and have realized one thing. No matter how powerful a photograph can be, Rylee showed me a real life example of the power of words.
I want to encourage you to find the beauty in your everyday life as a mom, just like Rylee did for me. What words are you speaking over your life? What you say over your children, your home, and your life matter. You have a unique voice. One that is important. I challenge you to start speaking affirmations over the areas I your life where you spend the most time.
The more I focus on things that are pure and just the more I realize that motherhood is my redemption, my heartbeat of grace. It’s how God has shown his faithfulness to me. Often times it’s how I feel His love and how I understand His love. What is it to you?

I am honored share these photographs with you as you meditate on all of the good things that motherhood is to you.
